Founded in 1989, Prohotel International recognized that many small luxury properties were not being properly promoted in North American and Latin America and effectively responded to the growing need to service this niche market. In 2001, Prohotel expanded to include operating and management services for luxury properties and has since set its sights on becoming the best in its field, with clients in the Americas and Europe.

Prohotel's knowledge of the industry and sensitivity to the the upscale clients needs has gained the company recognition and respect worldwide.

 

Samir Saab, CEO

Prohotel International is the creation of Samir Saab. In 1989, in response to his realization that many small, luxury properties were not receiving adequate promotion in North America, Mr. Saab created the full-service marketing group, focusing on branding and marketing small, independent luxury properties worldwide. Mr. Saab oversees the entire operation of Prohotel International, including consulting on new projects with regards to concept, design and operational procedures; consulting with architects to ensure properties exceed industry standards; creating property names, tag lines and guidelines; as well as establishing hotel rates, developing ten year projections and working with public relations to secure media exposure.

Sandra Beltran, VP of Sales and Marketing

Sandra Beltran joined Prohotel International in 1998, bringing with her over ten years of experience in the hospitality industry. As Vice President, Beltran is responsible for the marketing and sales of Prohotel’s international clients. She was integral in the concept creation and implementation at luxury boutique properties including La Pleta in Baqueira, Spain and Esencia and Ikal del Mar in Mexico’s Riviera Maya. Beltran was also charged with the creation of guest recognition and appreciation programs, which to date have increased the repeat guest factor from 50% to 70%.

Cindy Rubio, CFO

Cindy Rubio joined the Prohotel team in 2005 as Financial Controller. She established a comprehensive collection process improving the company's cash flow. She also cut costs improving the company's profitability each year. In 2009 she was promoted to Chief Financial Officer. She is responsible for the day to day financial operations and contract negotiations. She also works in new business development.

Philip Vidal, VP of Operations

Philip Vidal was recently appointed Vice President of Operations in February 2011, though he is no stranger to Prohotel International. Philip joined Prohotel in 2007 as General Manager of Esencia Estate in the Riviera Maya. In his current position, he is responsible for overseeing operations of all Prohotel managed properties, including Pico Bonito in La Ceiba, Honduras, Guaycura Boutique Hotel & Spa in Todos Santos, Mexico, Esencia Estate in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and Casa Bonita Tropical Lodge in Dominican Republic. He oversees all operational functions, including hiring & management of hotel staff, budgeting & financial management, creating & enforcing business objectives & goals, managing projects & renovations and special emphasis on details and guest attention while maintaining each hotel’s unique personality.
