Prohotel International is the creation of Samir Saab. In 1989, in response to his realization that many small, luxury properties were not receiving adequate promotion in North America, Mr. Saab created the full-service marketing group, focusing on branding and marketing small, independent luxury properties worldwide. Mr. Saab oversees the entire operation of Prohotel International, including consulting on new projects with regards to concept, design and operational procedures; consulting with architects to ensure properties exceed industry standards; creating property names, tag lines and guidelines; as well as establishing hotel rates, developing ten year projections and working with public relations to secure media exposure.
Mr. Saab has successfully positioned several properties in the luxury market which resulted in a profit at sale, including Villa Vera in Acapulco and Miraflores Park Plaza in Peru and Ikal del Mar in the Riviera, Maya, Mexico. As the marketing group for Small Luxury Hotels of the World for over 10 years, Mr. Saab and Prohotel International have positioned the company in the Americas as one of the leading brands in the luxury hotel industry. In the first three years with Small Luxury Hotels, Mr. Saab increased sales from $14 million to $35 million as well as increased membership by 25%.
Before creating Prohotel International, Mr. Saab worked as Regional Manager for Gulf Air in Washington D.C, in which he incorporated the Middle Eastern airline into the Airline Reporting Corporation and secured a $2.5 million contract with the United States Postal Service. Mr. Saab is a highly effective entrepreneur, as showcased by his work as Executive Vice President and CFO of All Seasons Travel Group in Houston. All Seasons was the largest independently owned agency in Texas and the tenth largest in the nation. Mr. Saab owned and managed the agency for five years, bringing in over $25 million in new accounts, while overseeing 125 employees and holding sole responsibility for the financial aspect of the operation.
Mr. Saab has been contracted by several government tourism offices as a consultant on luxury standards. He has spoken at association conventions and universities and was Vice President of the Asociación Mexicana Ejecutivos de Ventas de Hoteles in Acapulco. He Attended Cornell University in Ithaca New York and the Escuela Mexicana de Turismo in Mexico City. Mr. Saab resides between Houston, Texas and Playa del Carmen, Mexico and is fluent in English ,Spanish, Italian and French.
